Rules & Regulations

  • All the library members should register their name /class & roll number, at the time of entry into the library user’s register maintained at the entrance of the library and also biometric scanner also.

  • Keep your identity card with you while coming to library.

  • Don’t exchange your borrower cards.

  • Users should deposit their belongings (aprons, jackets, own Books etc) in the property counter at their own risk.

  • Mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside the library premises.

  • If found using heavy penalty will be charged.

  • Don’t carry the books unless it is issued/recorded.

  • The users (UGs /PGs) are entitled to take two book home issues for a period of 15 days.

  • Return the books as mention in the date slip.

  • Books are re-issued only if there are no claims or reservations.

  • A Fine Rs. 2/ day will be charged if the book is kept overdue.

  • A separate book bank facility is available for SC/ST students. A set of four books will be issued to each SC/St students. His/her library membership remains valid for one full academic year.

  • Loss of book issued, if any, should be reported to the librarian immediately.

  • If the user is not able to replace the book which he/she lost, current price of the book in DOUBLE TIME will be collected.

  • The book lost should be replaced with another good copy of the same edition or current edition.

  • Reference books and periodicals are not issued, they are meant for reference only.

  • Students availing reference required to deposit their belongings in the counter against token.

  • No person shall write on, damage or make any mark on any book, journal or other material belongs to the library.

  • Members of the Library found to be indulging in damaging the library materials. Misconduct or infringing the library rules is liable for disciplinary action.

  • The staff/students are must to return the books as and when they are called back by the chief librarian.

  • SILENCE shall be maintained in the library and reading room at all times.

  • Users should not reserve seats by leaving books or personal belongings on the table.

  • Personal belongings should not be left unattended. The library staffs are not responsible for any loss or damage.
    Students should follow the dress code of the college while visiting the library.

  • No outside/personal books are allowed inside the UG/PG Section.

  • Conversation, making noise, sleeping, resting legs on chairs and tables, etc., are strictly prohibited in the library.

  • Books/Periodicals issued for reference/xeroxing purpose should be returned for within a hour, failing which a fine @ Rs 100/- per hour will be charged.

  • Photocopying of only one chapter of a book for educational or research purpose is permitted under copyright law. Users should respect copyright law and the library is not responsible for any legal consequences arising due to copyright violation.

  • Loss of ID card should be reported to the chief librarian immediately.,
